How Pigtails Ink. came to be...

Growing up as the youngest of five children on Long Island, Patricia has many happy memories of drawing at the kitchen table and creating refrigerator art. She boldly proclaimed to her parents and siblings she was going to be an artist when she grew up. Soon enough school and socializing took over and she put her crayons away. Fast forward to Marist College in upstate NY where she earned her degree in Fashion Design and was able to develop her own illustration style.

After graduating, she worked as a designer for several fashion companies and continued to draw in her own time, creating cards and artwork for family and friends. Somewhere along the way, her fashion illustrations transformed into the “pigtails” characters you see today; girls and boys that make her smile when she draws them and strive to capture the humor and whimsy of children.

Through the encouragement of family, friends and her amazing husband, Patricia made the leap and left the fashion world to start Pigtails Ink. Now, her designs are available online, at art shows and in boutiques.

Patricia resides in Worthington, Ohio with her husband Jeff, daughter Lucy and their cats Kiki and Sam.
